2003-2004 Distinguished Teaching Assistants Selected
Mechanical Engineering Teaching Assistants Christopher Douglas Henry and Philip Leland Knowles have been selected by the Department of Mechanical Engineering as Distinguished Teaching Assistants for the 2003-2004 school year. The award recognizes the commitment, professionalism, and creativity given by Christopher and Philip, which enhances the academic experiences of their students.
The Center for Teaching Excellence and the Graduate School will honor Mr. Henry and Mr. Knowles at the annual reception for Distinguished Teaching Assistants on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 inn the courtyard of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
At the beginning of each spring semester, Distinguished Teaching Assistants are nominated by their departments. As this award is meant to honor the most outstanding teaching assistants within a department, only the top 10% of all teaching assistants within a are eligible for the award.
Congratulations to Christopher and Philip for their contributions to the quality of undergraduate education at the University of Maryland, College Park.
